After all, how many dark skin women are there in Hollywood that Rocky can actually date? Because when you think about it, there actually aren't that many to begin with. He could have dated dark skin women and never made it public. Nobody knows of his girlfriends before he was a 23 yo. That's a very low pool to determine his preference. Rocky doesn't even want to really "share" his personal life, technically he had only 3 official girlfriends: Iggy, Chanel and Rihanna. Unless he outright says something that implies that he is only attracted to light skin women, people on the internet are being sensitive as usual. So what PR is there to gain of an obscure interview, it's just people blowing things out of proportion. He said Janelle Monae was attractive in 2019 a whole 4 years after. Twitter likes to take a lot of stuff out of context as well, I think some of them users already don't like Rocky because they think he's a colourist even though ALLA has lyrics from Better Things and Westside Highway praising dark skin women. No matter what answer Rocky gives, a decent chunk of people will disagree. Most people think Will was wrong, others think Chris Rock was out of line for his joke, some people think it was a PR stunt, etc.
To be fair one downside of talking about the Will and Rock issue is that there is a 60-25-15 split on opinions generally (from my observation) on it.
